Was macht einen Espresso unverwechselbar?
What makes a great espresso: tradition meets precision
What makes an espresso unmistakable? Not a single factor, but the interplay of origin, blend, roast, and preparation. This is exactly what B Caffè dal 1870 stands for. The Barbera family’s story began in Messina, where Domenico Barbera worked with a small, coal-fired roasting machine and became known as „Il mago del caffè“ — the magician of coffee. Today, the sixth generation carries this knowledge forward, combined with modern quality assurance and a commitment to processing every bean with care for its aroma.
One example is the Fondatore blend, which draws on the founder’s original recipe. Seventy percent Arabica and thirty percent Robusta combine body and fine aromatics, with notes of honey, nut, and chocolate that make it especially approachable. Yet even an outstanding coffee only reveals its full potential when grind size, dosing, water quality, temperature, and extraction time work together. That’s why consultation, machine calibration, and barista training are just as much a part of our product as the bean itself.
As the Austrian general importer, Stanz Kaffee GmbH brings B Caffè directly from Italy into gastronomy, hospitality, offices, and private households. Our goal isn’t to dictate a single „correct“ flavor, but to help people taste coffee more consciously and prepare it more consistently well. At the Vienna Coffee Festival, we’re showing how more than 150 years of roasting tradition, modern technology, and personal know-how come together in a single cup.
