Cimbali Group: Sustainability at the Core of Its Business Strategy

Cimbali Group, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of professional coffee machines, has published its 2025 Sustainability Report. This marks the second report prepared in alignment with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) – a clear commitment to transparency and measurable progress.

Environment: Responsibility from the Start

In 2025, the Group increased its share of renewable electricity to 81.4% of total consumption. Of this, 63% came from electricity purchased with Guarantees of Origin, while 18.4% was generated through the Group’s own photovoltaic systems. The installation of heat pumps and radiant heating systems also led to a 6.7% reduction in natural gas consumption compared to the previous year. Life cycle assessments (LCA) continue to play a central role in sustainable product development.

Social: Putting Well-Being First

For the first time, the Group conducted a Great Place to Work® climate survey in 2025. Five subsidiaries – in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, Spain, and China – have already achieved certification. ESG monitoring across the supply chain was also expanded, now covering 68% of purchasing value across 67 suppliers.

Governance and Coffee Culture

The double materiality analysis was updated, incorporating new topics such as workforce health and safety and cybersecurity. A whistleblowing channel further strengthens transparency within the organization.

Notably, the MUMAC museum was officially recognized as a corporate museum by the Lombardy Region and welcomed more than 6,100 visitors, while MUMAC Academy trained over 3,900 coffee professionals. In addition, 2025 saw the launch of the first MUMAC Summer Camp for employees‘ children and the local community.

Frédéric Thil, General Manager of Cimbali Group, stated: „In 2025, we continued to embed sustainability into every aspect of our business, from increasing renewable energy use to strengthening employee engagement.
